About the Garden of Eden Collection

The Garden of Eden Collection was painted in January 2021 during what I call my maximalist Australiana period — a time when I deliberately pushed everything bigger, denser, more colourful and more imaginative than I'd ever painted before. Working on large scale pieces, sometimes across two sheets of paper joined together, I let go of realism entirely and followed my imagination into something more fantastical.

The collection draws on highly stylised native blooms — proteas, banksias, waratahs — but reimagined rather than observed. Bigger. More exotic. Unusual colour combinations that feel elevated rather than literal. Jewel tones and deep vivid hues that create something immersive — colourful but not garish, exotic and emotional rather than decorative.

The hero piece, the Garden of Eden Abstract Wall Art Print, is the fullest expression of that vision — a composition with so much detail and movement that every time you look at it you find something new. The Garden of Eden Silk Scarf translates that same energy into something wearable. The collection also includes the Wild Proteas range — original sketches from 2015, developed into one of the most loved designs in the entire studio — across art prints, tea towels, scarves, wooden homewares, jewellery and notebooks.
