Each original painting is a one-of-a-kind work by Australian botanical artist Kirsten Katz, created to live beautifully within a home. Painting is where everything begins for me. Before the prints, the tea towels, the scarves — there is always a painting. It starts with flowers, with colour, with something in the natural world that I can't stop thinking about, and it grows slowly through layers of paint, instinct and decision until it feels resolved.

Each work in this collection is a single, unrepeatable thing. Painted in my Sydney studio, released in small numbers throughout the year. Once a painting finds its home it cannot be replaced or recreated — the colours, the marks, the particular light of the day I made it are fixed in that canvas forever.
